Gunners target Navas swoop

Arsenal are lining up a £12million bid for Seville forward Jesus Navas, according to reports in the Spanish press.

The Gunners have already swooped on La Liga to sign Santi Cazorla from Malaga and according to Spanish paper AS, the winger has recommended Navas to Arsene Wenger.

The 26-year-old played a key role as Spain retained their European crown in the summer and Wenger could now make a move before the transfer window closes.

Wenger has cash to spend following the sales of Robin van Persie and Alex Song and the arrival of Navas would not only go some way to appeasing the fans, but would add even more attacking quality to his ranks.

The Gunners are still hoping to land Nuri Sahin on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid, while a ball winning midfielder is also on Wenger's wanted list ahead of the deadline.
